Ortlieb makes great cycling gear, but their handlebar bag mount is terrible. Whenever one moves it from one bike to the next one needs to replace a proprietary $15 cable.The Ortlieb “quick release” handlebar bag mount is even worse. It is kludgy with four separate cords, doesn’t keep its position and is simply overly complex and mostly dysfunctional.The KlickFix handlebar bag mount is everything that an Ortlieb mount should be. It’s simple, functional, can be easily switched from bike to bike without replacing any proprietary parts, and its mounting cable can easily be reused. Plus in a pinch, a standard brake cable section can be substituted.All in all, the Klickfix mount is THE mount to use for Ortlieb handlebar bags.

I've bought a another bike & sometimes it's handy to just put your bar bag on, you only need one bar bag! It is simple to fit, different from the original one that came with my Ortlieb bag but does the job securely. The other 'hack' for this type of mounting bracket, is it can be fitted just tight enough but still loose & can be turn upwards - this allows you too fit a R&K style bar bag on to a Brompton ML style bike as opposed to having two different types of bag & still making use of all the Brompton's folding features.
