Cet antivol est super impressionnant et à même de décourager les voleurs les plus intrépides!Je l'ai acheté avec un câble (photo 3) pour encore plus de sécurité: j'attache la roue arrière sur un support avec le U, dans lequel je passe les extrémités du câble qui lui est passé dans la roue avant.Le U est fourni avec un dispositif pour le fixer sur un montant du vélo; malheureusement il ne convient pas pour mon Bird bike de Sachsenrad. Je le mets donc dans une sacoche quand je ne l'utilise pas.Attention toutefois: il est très, très lourd. Abandonnez donc l'idée de le glisser dans un sac à main!Je recommande ce produit.

Good value for money. Has not thwarted a theft so hard to judge efficacy. I can squeeze my bike plus my son’s trailer bike through the d shackle with a bit of fiddling and the right pole.

Alors oui ça peut semble un peu cher pour un antivol surtout comparé à de nombreux antivols qu'on peut avoir pour quelques euros mais il fait vraiment solide et je n'en doute pas (j'ai vu sur YouTube qu'il résiste à de nombreux tests).J'ai pris le grand modèle pour pouvoir attacher mon vélo partout. Un ami a le petit modèle et parfois ça ne suffit pas pour attacher le sien.Grand modèle et solidité, ça veut dire aussi qu'il est lourd. Je le porte sur le dos car sur mon vélo, malheureusement, il n'y avait pas la place pour utiliser leur système de fixation sur le cadre.Petit plus, la clé avec une LED. Je pensais que c'était un gadget inutile mais ça sert pour trouver le trou de la serrure sans devoir sortir son smartphone ou une lampe quand son vélo est attaché dans le noir.

J'assure mes vélos avec ce cadenas depuis 3 ans , à Bruxelles. Jamais eu de vol, ou tentative, j'ai probablement eu de la chance (je ne laisse jamais mes vélos dehors plus que quelques heures), mais je pense qu'il est en effet dissuasif, et bien costaud.Gros hic : l'attache, comme souvent mentionné par des utilisateurs, se détache du cadre du vélo assez vite. J'ai tenté plusieurs fois de la rafistoler, malheureusement elle a fini par lâcher pour de bon... en pleine rue ! Le cadenas a valdingué par terre, j'ai du aller le ramasser en plein milieu de la rue. Vraiment à revoir, depuis le temps que le problème est reporté !

Je ne mets pas en cause la sécurité, c'est surement de bonne qualité.Mais la fixation au cadre du velo est de piètre qualité. Je n'ai pas pu trouver un bon endroit pour le fixer sans que ca gène. En effet la fixation n'est pas solide, bouge et bougera dans le temps pour ca conception même, et surtout garde l'antivol trop éloigné du cadre. (et donc ca gène pour pédaler). Si on ne peut pas la fixer proprement au cadre on doit se balader tous le temps avec un sac a dos pour ranger le cadenas. C'est n'est pas mon cas, donc cet antivol ne sert absolument a rien dans mon cas.

I bought this lock when I first got my ebike, and came back to write a review after 4 years and was shocked to see all these 1-star reviews with people that can't seem to get their heads around:a) the limits of ANY U-lock (such as the fact it's rigid and thus not great for things like power poles)b) How to unlock the lock (hint: you push the key all the way in, and turn it)c) All bike locks are deterrents. If you park your bike in a dodgy place, or if someone *really* wants your bike, no lock will stop an angle grinder. At least this one will make it a pain in the ass.With those things in mind, here's a brief pro/cons on this lock after 4 years of use and 6000km of commuting on my bike. I haven't babied it, I've thrown it around and used it like a lock. It's been on the back of my rack all the time, and I've locked it up in some pretty sketchy places to find it always back and working, in the pouring rain, sleet and overnight. The key and locking system are still buttery smooth after 4 years, and although it's beaten up there is physically nothing wrong with it.PROS:+ Beefy security. It's heavy and hefty and a great deterrent. I've come back to see obvious scratches where people have tried to pick the lock, hack at it with some kind of saw and generally try to bend it (which left marks on my frame). I still have my bike 4 years later. I think the other reviews made the mistake of either parking their bikes not next to other bikes (always a good chance the bike next to you will be easier), or expecting this to stop a blowtorch and last for eternity. Locks are deterrents!+ Durability. I have locked my bike in and out of cover, under tarps and in the open rain for weeks on end. I also live near the sea, so I do get a bit more corrosion (I've been through two chains on my bike, for context). No issues with any part of the lock at all, including the key/locking system.+ Length - no, it won't wrap around telephone poles like a folding lock can. But as long as you understand that, it's a great size and length for most poles, bike racks and metal fences. It can be annoying give it isn't a folding/cable lock, but again the U-locks will be more secure than the former.CONS:- Hefty - this lock is a chonk. It's hefty and the frame mount is crap, so it has to live on my back rack. Honestly it doesn't bother me since I prefer the security but it does have to be said.- It's a U-lock - which means that it is rigid and it can't wrap around or through objects. I personally commute around the city where there are plenty of bike racks, metal fences or narrow sign poles for me to lock this up to. If you don't have that luxury, then get a chain or folding lock.- Key system was fiddly on first use: I remember when I first got this lock and I accidentally seized up the lock trying to unlock it. Turns out, it's really easy to half unlock the lock if you don't push the key all the way in *before* turning it. After a few months I got used to it, and I haven't had ANY of the durability issues I've seen from others in the past 4 years. I've always made sure to close the keyhole protector, and push the key all the way in before turning. No issues, but it was a slight curve- Not indestructible - All the photos and 1-star reviews I see are from people whose locks were cut through with an angle grinder or a very, very determined thief and a metal saw. Nothing will stop a determined thief. It's common logic to try and park in a very public, well-lit place, preferably next to some other bikes with crappier locks that are easier to steal. Thiefs are opportunistic, and so if the nice bike next to you has a shitty lock that takes less time to steal, they'll take it. I totally get it, people are mad that their bikes are stolen, I would be too. But that isn't the lock's fault - if you want a near-indestructible lock, get the NYC Kryptonite lock and carry an extra tonne of metal around, or get a frame lock too and multiple U-locks. For me, I just park in a sensible spot, locked to something metal and with the frame lock in my bike too. I've had several attempts on the bike, but no one got even CLOSE to cracking it. Remember kids, angle grinders aren't subtle or quiet. But if you park in a place with no one else around you, it will be.

Like the title says... my bike has yet to be stolen. 5 stars, it does the job.To be a bit more thorough I guess.... it's a very nice lock for the following reasons:- Looks nice - very bright and distinct- Very high quality materials throughout - the whole thing is coated in rubber so no scratches- Good anti-theft waranty - If your lock gets cut, they'll replace your bike up to a value of $2000 or so (maybe 3). NOTE: The warranty only lasts for 1 year. You need to pay an annual fee if you'd like to extend it.- Keys work very smoothly - disc detainer lock which is very smoothOnly issue I had is that the first one I bought came with the wrong keys. Also second one, amazon gave me the wrong lock.... got it the third time though.

Nach längerem vergleichen und durchstöbern von youtube posts habe ich meine Wette auf dieses Schloss gesetzt. Nachdem ich verschiedene Schlösser bereits live gesehen und in den Händen gehalten habe, die gängisten wären Kette, Stahlseil, Faltschloss oder Bügel, war für mich klar, dass an mein zweites e-bike ein Bügelschloss ran soll. Das erste ist mit einem Faltschloss ausgestattet, ganz nebenbei erwähnt.Grundsätzlich soll ein Schloss ja nur die statistischen 3 Min. gegen Gewalteinwirkung standhalten. Alles was länger dauert lässt den 0815 Dieb von seinem Vorhaben abwenden.Als Schwachstellen sehe ich grundsätzlich den Schließmechanismus sowie das Bindeelement, welches das Fixieren des Gegenstandes erlaubt (seil, kette, bügel etc.). In der Regel ist eines immer schwächer wie das andere, bedingt aus dem Kompromiss, neben Sicherheit auch bei Preis und Gewicht insgesamt ansprechend zu bleiben.Das Kryptonite evo 4 Standard (gekauft für €49,90) ist von der Größe her eher kurz verglichen mit anderen "Binder-typen". Für ein Bügelschloss hat es aber irgendwo eine gefühlt typische "standard" Dimension, d.h. in Länge und Breite. Ich habe noch ein anderes "standard" Bügelschloss anderer Marke und das Kryptonite ist ein klein wenig kürzer und schmäler. (Im Bereich kleiner 1cm) Es reicht um z.B. Rahmen und Hinterrad zusammen zu schließen oder um den Rahmen hauteng an einen Pfosten gelehnt zu fixieren. Ein Ampelpfosten dürfte je nach Rad eher schwierig werden. Für meine Abstellplätze aber ausreichend und im Rucksack noch leicht unterzubringen. (Aber es gibt auch noch eine kleinere und größere Variante dieser Reihe)Das Schloss wird mit einem Schlüssel betätigt und scheint mir ausreichend im Zylinderförmigen Teil geschützt zu sein, wenn man mal von einem kältespray Angriff ausgehen sollte. Da muss schon eine gehörige Masse an Material abgekühlt werden, um einen Sprödbruch herbeiführen zu können.Die Kodierung des Schlosses scheint sicher, wenngleich dieses Design theoretisch noch die Möglichkeit offen lässt, mit einem schmalen Schlitz Schraubenzieher den Schliesszylinder durch drehen aufzubrechen. Ob das mögliche Drehmoment ausreicht..? keine Ahnung. Würde mal daran glauben wollen, dass es sicher ist. Alternativ kenne ich Schlüsselaufnahmen im ich nenne es mal "Kreis-design", da geht kein standard Werkzeug zum verdrehen rein. Ein Zahlenschloss kommt für mein Sicherheitsverständnis nicht in Frage.Positiv zu erwähnen wäre noch das die zwei Öffnungen für den Bügel komplett durch den Zylinder gehen, d.h. der Bügel kann somit viel höhere Biegekräfte aufnehmen als dies bei der herkömmlichen Aufnamen, die nicht "durch gehen", der Fall ist.Der Bügel ist mit einem Kunststoff überzogen, der vor Kratzern schützt wie auch vor den Kälteangriffen. Der Stahlkern ist ordentlich, um es mal platt zu sagen. Bolzenschneider dürften hier verzweifeln und mindestens eine Akku-flex könnte der Herausforderung gewachsen sein, aber dann auch entsprechenden Lärm erzeugen.Insgesamt liegt das Schloss schon schwer in der Hand, wirkt hochwertig in der Verarbeitung und den verwendeten Materialien und suggeriert Sicherheit durch eine stille Reserve.Das anbringen am Fahrrad ist gut durchdacht. Für die bisherigen Lösungen anderer Bügelschlösser die ich gesehen habe, mit Abstand die funktionalste und stabilste. Lob an dieser Stelle. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist top, da gibt es nix zu meckern. Fast schon zuviel Beschreibung, wenn man sowas nicht zum ersten mal in der Hand hält. Gut finde ich auch das Angebot einen Ersatzschlüssel bei Verlust gratis zu bekommen, sofern man sich auf der Homepage anmeldet. Wirklich ein Tolles Gesamtkonzept! So etwas sieht man selten wie ich finde: Bis zu Ende gedacht und darüber hinaus, ohne angeblich versteckte Mehrkosten. (Habe diesen noch nicht in Anspruch genommen.)Ich bin bisher zufrieden und empfinde den Preis noch als verschmerzbar, wenn es letztlich die Erwartungen erfüllt. €39,90 wären aber sicher auch nicht zu wenig und würde evtl. mehr Käufer anziehen... Viel mehr würde ich aufgrund der letztlich "simplen" Technologie (vergleiche z.B. ein Faltschloss) nicht ausgeben. Die Ausführung der Qualität, dem Design inkl. Farbwahl und dem reingesteckten Hirnschmalz würden mich schon bewegen, beim nächsten wieder eins von Kryptonite in Erwägung zu ziehen.Die Zeit wird zeigen, ob es letztlich die richtige Wahl war.
