I bought this for my grandpa specifically because it said it was a big screen Sudoku and the electronic games I had purchased for him in the past were too small for him to see. Unfortunately the screen is just as small as other electronic sudokus. It was hard for him to see and operate. There is no back lighting and it is difficul to get the light to hit it just right so you can play. The pen thing that looks like a stylus is actually a ry erase marker to write guesses on the screen and then erase with the gray tip. I thought it was a stylus but it's not. You move the little blinking box using arrows up, down, left and right until you get it to the box you want to tupe in and then you type the number. It is very difficult to see the blinking box, even for my young eyes. I ended up having to keep this for myself to play when I am passing time at doctor's offices or in the hospital, however it was useless as the gift I intended it as. They shouldn't advertise it as a big screen wehn the size of the game is maybe a centimeter or two larger than regular electronic sudoku. False advertising in my book.

I was given one of these as a present and unlike the previous reviewer I am able to use it in any light and can read the screen very easily. It is good as it has different difficulty levels which makes it great for taxing the grey matter! Easy and comfortable to hold as the sides are shaped so you are not stretching your hand wide to hold it. I have great fun with mine and would recommend it to anyone, I use it at home and on holiday.

This device is really nice. I like the fact that it does not have a lot of light to the screen, because that would make batteries go out faster. The description makes it sound large, but it really isn't that large. It's a nice, portable size. The dry-erase pen slips neatly into the back of the device, easy to keep up with and out of the way.The instructions seem clear, and it has various proficiency levels and plenty of games. Seems like a good way to play Sudoku!

The device seems to work just as advertised. Have had zero problems with it. I bought it for my wife and she loves doing suduko problems and so she has enjoyed it.It has 4 navigation buttons for moving around and then 9 buttons to enter in numbers into the puzzles. It also has buttons for solving certain squares for you or to check to see if you are right so far. By using those buttons you are penalized on time. You can also select the level of the puzzle that you want to do, so this should be challenging for all levels of suduko players.Overall a good product for a good price.
