Eldon
Avis laissé aux États-Unis le 29 janvier 2025
Title says it all. I ordered two (35L). They work well, are light and strong. Not sure yet if they are worth the $$. Ordered the zinnia yellow, and it’s much closer to safety orange. Which is okay, but a mild disappointment.

Excellent. Perfect for me in every way.

Arrived with an assembly defect: one of the 4 straps was twisted through the plastic pull loop, making the whole thing difficult to use optimally.

I already had a smaller, 4L dry bag from Sea to Summit, so I knew basically what to expect in terms of overall build quality, etc. This product is obviously different in that it's not meant to be a dry-sack, though it is water resistant. I'd say this compression sack is very well suited to the task, the material is thin enough to not take up a ton of space on its own, a common complaint with packing cubes. But the thinner material and lighter weight does NOT seem to be a compromise here, as they are using Bluesign 30D nylon, which is not only strong as nails, it's also recycled material that you can feel good about. The amount of compression you can get with this bag depends largely on the kinds of clothing you're putting in it, how you're putting those items in the bag, and how concerned you are with wrinkling etc. I tend to use a slight variation of the ranger roll technique, which is already pretty space-efficient. But even with this style, I can pack my clothes down by a good 30-50%. Impressive.

I got this to help me travel with fewer and/or smaller bags. Over the last weekend, I used it with a suitcase like backpack (eBags MotherLoad Jr.), and it really helped. On the way out I put some T-shirts and cargo shorts in the bag, and they were compressed fairly well. On the way home, I turned it into my dirty laundry bag for shirts, underwear and socks. It worked much better with out the cargo shorts in the mix. I'd say it compressed things to almost 1/2 their original size. I've also tried it on sweatshirts and sweaters and it works well there. I think things like cargo shorts and jeans do not work as well with this. I'd give it 5 stars, except the price is just a bit steep.
