Two glass cylindrical candlestick holders with a black metal base that holds the candle.These are ideal if you're planning on an outdoor meal or event and want some candle light that won't go out at the first puff of wind.The candle slots into the base and the glass cylinder slips over it.I have a number of tall candles, of varying thickness and tried them all in the holder.The hole is fairly big and none of them would fit snuggly, I had to heat the base of the candle to melt the wax to get it to fit.Once it had cooled, and was securely in place, everything was fine.They need to be secure in the base otherwise the candle tips to the side and risks coming in contact with the glass.An expensive pair of glass candle stick holders but they certainly look good and would make a good impression anywhere, be it on a table, a hearth or a picnic table.

not even at the end of the first candle the glass has cracked and broke!! Very disappointing
