I got this HDMI splitter because I have the new Mac mini and I wanted to use my second monitor while using Logic Pro. All you have to do is download an app and then when you’re ready click on the icon and after a second you will have 2 screens just like if you had both coming from hdmi. It works great. I use it all the time now when making music. I would recommend this to anyone needing an extra monitor on their Mac’s. 5/5.

✅I am running Windows 11 Pro 24H2. The required drivers were already installed, and using the extender was a plug & play experience.✅A USB C to USB A adapter is included.⚠️The USB A side of the adapter is color coded as BLUE. Do not try using the extender with a USB A 1.x or 2.x port!!! Only use the extender with a USB A 3.X or higher port. USB 1.x and 2.x DO NOT have enough power to drive the electronics in the extender.⚠️I noticed, than even when no external monitors were attached, the extender becomes warm (but not hot) to the touch.✅The splitter/extender performs as expected, and without issue.I am rating this at 5 stars; for ease of use, and value proposition.

I upgraded from an M2 Mac Mini to an M4 Mac Mini. My old HDMI video adapter stopped working so I took a chance on this one. They warn you in the product description that this product needs you to install a driver. And that is true. But I have only used Mac for about a year and this was yet another learning opportunity. I had to add the driver to my startup programs before it would work. But if it ever stops working I found that you don't need to reboot the Mac to reload the driver. Just find the driver, load it, and your video will appear. Recommended.
