Great quality from hosa, Great price and much better quality than pricier cables

I used this cable to replace a failed OEM cable on a Pioneer PL-112D turntable. While this is not a high-end expensive cable, the wire and connectors are very good at this price point. I had to cut the right angle connectors off so that I could hardwire the cable to the internal solder terminal strip. The center wire is soft pliable stranded copper. I estimate it to be approximately 22 gauge, which is fine. The shield is also soft stranded copper wire that is wrapped around the center wire. It may not be 100% coverage but it is very close. There is no additional foil/mylar shield. After installing the cable, the turntable was fully quiet with no discernible hum.Overall, this is a great value. I will order more for general purpose audio connections. I do spend more for cables on my primary higher-end component audio system interconnects. If HOSA offered this same wire with higher quality RCA connectors I would not be afraid to spend a little more and use them on my primary systems.Amazon indicated that it would take three weeks to deliver them. I had them it two days! Yea!
