A co-worker gave a use done of these years ago, since then, can't work without them!!!DO NOT LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!!!!!You know how when you go to cut METAL, Cast Iron, etc etc with a SAWZALL Bi-Metal/Metal blade with TEETH how it BOUNCES/JERKS ALL OVER THE PLACE? you can't REALLY actually start where you marked your METAL???? Don't you HATE THAT? Isn't that kind of dangerous at times?These blades, when new, cut through iron, steel, cast iron, stainless, metal like butter, and...they do NOT BOUNCE AROUND!!!!! THEY start where you MARKED YOUR CUT!!!! NO TEETH-NO BOUNCE!!!!Once they are USED, do NOT throw them away!!!!! Mark where you want to cut your METAL, start and make a groove with these (no bouncing) BLADES and THEN, use a toothed metal SAWZALL BLADE TO COMPLETE by inserting into the clean starting cut you made with THIS BLADE!!!I build DATA racks all day long.....I use these ALL THE TIME!!!! They even cut STAINLESS STELL when NEW!!!!Again, when they get used, or you THINK they are DULL, don't throw them away, use them to START YOUR CUT where you MARKED IT/MAKE A GROOVE-then switch to that cheaper TOOTHED BLADE!!!!

Ne pas appuyer fortement afin d'éviter une chauffe inutile. Procéder en oscillant la lame d'avant en arrière et non pas comme une scie sauteuse.

Worked very well on the cast iron pipe cuts

I've used this to cut concrete and cast iron drain pipes.You can get three cross-cuts on 4" cast iron pipe before the grit wears off. The trick is to use light pressure and let the blade do the work. If you push down hard you just heat things up and slow down the cut. When cutting cast iron I would stop every 30 seconds and cool things off with some water and soluble oil. Cut 3/4ths through the pipe, and then a sharp rap with a 3lb sledge will break it the rest of the way through. It takes about 5 minutes per cross cut. Wear cover-alls and a mask, because you're going to be coated with rust dust when you're done.You can stock up on these for WAY less than the cost of renting a cast-iron pipe cutter.
