The ULANZI SL02 is tiny a USB-C rechargeable Flash and LED Video light. It weighs in at 36g and measures 43 x 46 and 20mm. The controls are very simple; two buttons power and mode. When you plug it into charge there is a red led that goes green next to the usb-c socket. It charges up in under an hour. There are details below on how it works; but having had it in my hands for 5 hours it’s a fantastic little light/ flash for walk about use. It uses a Hotshoe to mount to your camera or a cage. The flash work fine with my Canon, Sony and Panasonic mirrorless and pocket cameras with hot shoes; it just needs the centre release pin. The flash recycles in up to 6 seconds depending on the power setting. The LED light is useful to video work mounted on your camera, you can also rest it side and use it as a small fill light. You can adjust the flash power, but you can’t adjust the LED video brightness; you need to move it away from the subject to reduce the harshness. Both the flash and Led have a daylight white temperature. The best thing is for its tiny size it is tiny enough that its worth always having in your bag when you travel; and in your pocket on photo walks and is there when if you need it.5* it charges rapidly and can always be there when you need it.

[For the sake of transparency, I received this item for free through the Amazon Vine programme on condition that I leave an honest review. I give this review honestly and the fact that I did not pay for this item has not influenced my rating]This speedlite is a really nice compact accessory. It responds well on the hot shoe on my Canons EOS R7, EOS 7D Mark II and EOS M3 giving a decent fill flash for subjects up to about a metre away. Due to the low height over bore, you can't make full use of the flash or video light with longer lenses as they will obscure some of the light where this will be particularly apparent with flash-fill images as a shadow will be cast toward the bottom of the image. When using a shorter lens, the speedlite will give you full power, half, one-quarter and one-eighth power depending on the flash mode you select and this amount of power appears to be consistent. Depending on the amount of power you set with the flash, there will be a few seconds delay between shots, indicated with a green LED on the power button when it's ready for the next shot. While it was a tedious process, I managed to get 507 flashes out of the speedlite at full power.Alternatively, you can use the switch the light to continuous video light which produces a decent amount of brightness for its size. From a full charge, I managed to get 1 hr 23 minutes of light before it went out. When it came to colour correcting images Lightroom, I would say the quoted colour temperature ranges are accurate.I'm quite pleased with the speedlite though due to quite a long delay, especially at full or half power, between it being ready for the next flash-assisted photo, some photographers may not light this product. For those who shoot at a slower pace and normally let a few seconds pass between shots/re-shots, this would work quite well despite that limitation. As a result of these caveats, I give this 4 out of 5 stars.

This compact flash features a specific Guide Number (GN) and charges via USB-C. It is an even smaller alternative to the Godox IM30, making it perfect for Ricoh GR cameras and other point-and-shoot models that lack a built-in flash. While I’m unsure if it is powerful enough for outdoor daylight photography, it works exceptionally well for indoor shots with point-and-shoot style at apertures between f/2.8 and f/5.6, especially with shutter speeds of ISO 200/800. Additionally, the recycle time is quite decent. If you need more power and similar form factor, go with the Godox.
