Great quality, yet on the budget. Pencils really feel very close to Prismacolor: vibrant colors, soft, easily blending, thicker pencil core. No problems with sharpening and breakage. The pencils keep the sharp point relatively long, Hopefully the manufacturer will expand the set size (perhaps a few skin tones would be great). There is not enough info regarding lightfastness. The inner plastic trays are flimsy and need improvement.

So happy with these pencils. They are soft and smooth to lay down, but aren't prone to breakage like the Prismas pencils do a lot. Excellent price in my opinion too, for such good quality pencils.

I would give this 5 stars for the lovely illustration of the cat. I wish they hadn't put the colour chart on the inside of the cover (the one that you colour in yourself) and had instead printed the cat illustration on the tin and had put a colour chart inside or as is with a colour chart separate to the illustration. Also, the printed colour chart only has the code numbers and not the names and for me it would have been preferable to have the names as well but at least the colour chart you colour in yourself has the code and name. I've tried all of the colours now and apart from WP205 Carribean (their spelling) sea and WP320 Pale Violet which are as hard as a rock and do not lay well at all the rest of the colours more or less do. The choice of packaging (a pharmaceutical bag for overseas delivery?! of pencils) of the pencils was strange. Two pencil points were broken. There weren't remnants of the points so I don't think the issue was with the packaging. One pencil has a slight name change: WP030 is printed on the pencil as Light Lemon Yellow but on the colour chart is called Lemon Yellow. I found WP622 Warm Grey III and WP625 City Gray to be very similar. One pencil's name and number is very faded. It's great that there are 4 pinks especially if you're working on flowers. Overall, a satisfactory set of pencils though they aren't any better or worse than other cheaper sets I've purchased. But these, and the other sets, are good for practice runs while keeping the Caran d'Ache (the best!) for final works. The other odd thing I found was how the price of these pencils kept changing from originally $64 to $65, then way up to $85 then back to $70 and then $75 then $80.

These feel great to use, extremely close to Prismacolor pencils, very creamy, blends easily, vibrant colors. Beautiful color selection, I had a smile on my face while swatching. I almost took a star off because of the gold lettering, I had to use a headlamp magnifier to read the color names. I wish manufacturers would stop this practice, yes the gold looks pretty, but we like to be able to read the information on the pencil most of all. But, the quality of the pencils made me still give 5 stars. There is a rating system for lightfastness, but they don't state what system is used, so if that's important to you, be aware. They are rated up to 5 stars, and none of the colors are below a 3, even the pinks. Hmmmm. KThey sharpen easily in an electric sharpener, no splintering or point breakage. These pencils are a joy to use. The tin case is sturdy enough, the inner trays are flimsy. I find it easier to use when my pencils are in a case, more convenient. I hope they come out with bigger sets in a pencil case, not a tin, I would buy them immediately. I highly recommend trying these. Worth every penny!Been using these pencils for a couple of weeks now, love them more every day, hardly use my Prismas unless I need a certain color. I see that they went down a little in the price, plus a coupon, so I'm ordering another set today to make sure have enough. I wish they would come out with a bigger set, or have the option of no tin, I always use a pencil case. They must have figured out the Prisma formula, I can't get over how these seem identical. So creamy and easy to blend! Again, I highly recommend!
