I"m a huge The Rock mark! One of the most charismatic people in the whole entertainment industry,not just the sports entertainment.When I start to watch WWE (F at the time) around 1999-2000 (I started as a WCW fan) he was one of the first who captured my eye.What a great promos he was cuttin' . I think that was missin' a bit in this blu-ray - more of his great promos.But I like to see his "Hollywood Rocky" stuff from 2003.Very underrated period of his carrer.I enjoyed the documentary, captured the life and his career and the memorable moments of it.Great stuff.I like the match list too. His ladder match with Triple H in SummerSlam '98 is amazing. Don't even have to mention the brutal "I Quit" one with Mankind at Royal Rumble '99.I was glad to see they included the one with Lesnar at SummerSlam '02.One of my favourite ones.And the one with Hogan at No Way Out '03.Not like their WM spectacle,but still very good one.So if you like The Rock you should buy this blu-ray on the second. It's nothing but amazing.

Questo set da tre dischi mi ha completamente annoiato. Il primo disco è interamente dedicato alla biografia di The Rock senza alcun lottato, cosa che andrebbe anche bene se non facesse spoiler di ogni singolo incontro che vedremo nei restanti due.La scelta di impostare un dvd cosi mi ha fatto storcere il naso.E se da un lato mi aspettavo che il terzo dvd si chiudesse con un match importante ho dovuto arrendermi a un segmento che allora come oggi molti fan rigettano.Deludente.

Prior to purchasing this set I purchased another Rock DVD collection: "The most electrifying man in sports entertainment". This previous DVD was primarily a compilation of his classic matches prior to the PG era but it did not include an in depth biographical portion.If you were looking for a biographical piece then this current release is exactly that. The Epic Journey of Dwayne The Rock Johnson gives a personal recount of his life and how he climbed the wrestling ladder (figuratively and literally) as well as how he broke out of the wrestling business to become one of the most successful action stars of all time. The biographical portion of this release was quite touching in that you get a great understanding for the emotional and physical struggles Dwayne has endured in his life endeavors from both childhood to adulthood.The Blu-Ray release of this film was exceptionally well done, and all images come off in a very crisp and an eye-popping HD experience. However some of the older matches while visually clear may not be as detailed as more recent matches. Within the 2-Disc release (the DVD version being a 3-disc tri-fold set) we get Johnson's biography as well as a series of matches and some definitive WWE Rock moments such as the Rock's birthday celebration and his return to the WWE to challenge John Cena at Wrestlemania. The match listing spans from the late 90's all the way up to his more recent matches, this giving you some of the most important matches as well as allowing you to see how he has evolved over the decades into one of the biggest WWE superstars.I highly recommend this documentary for anyone that is a wrestling fan or Dwayne Johnson fan either inside or outside the ring as it will give you a great appreciation of where he has come from and to where he is today.

I like the match listing aside from a few repeats. However, I didnt buy Survivor Series 2011 because I figured it would be on this set. Disappointing its on blu ray only, WWE seems to want people to convert to blu ray with really important matches being found only on blu ray of late.
